The phenomenon of empty gallery

The doctoral thesis deals with the topic of exihibiting of an empty gallery. The problem of the emptiness is presented by using a prism of theory of art, semiotics and phenomenology, more precisely hermeneutics. The matter is in a relation with some remote domains, it tries to give a definition of substance and general rules by exihibiting of the emptiness in a gallery. According to one of the presented propositions the plain emptiness itself comes to be an artwork. By semantics of logic method the text is tryiing to form another proposition about specific emptiness in a gallery that generates artwork naturally. The text tries to reopen the theme of some crucial problems in conceptual art. It presents an explanation of the aplication of conceptual method to general public.
Krylov 's fables translated by Hana Vrbová

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of a fable, a unique genre of literature. More specifically, it analyses Hana Vrbová's translations of fables written by Krylov .The paper is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on fable in general, its history, tradition in Russian literature, and particularity of I. A. Krylov's work. The paper also provides a variety of idioms, phrases and aphorisms which are contained in the writer's fables and also became commonly used in Russian. Final chapter of the theoretical part is focused on translations of Krylov's fables in connection with the history of translation from Russian literature into Czech from the period of the Czech National Liberation period to the present time. The practical part analyses translations of the most defining characteristics in the fables such as idioms, geographic names, titles, names of animals and people, rhythm and metre. Those are further compared with their original forms. Moreover, the final part compares older translations by Hana Vrbová with the 2011 work made by Milan Dvořák. This thesis in the beginning explores various approaches to relation of human mind and language. It focuses concretely on contact of reader and literal work. It deals with theory language structures and their relation to the human view of the world. It treats of discipline about right understanding of text and his impact on human mind. The work explores narrative ability of recognition, relation of reader and text in light of structuralism, ability of filling meta-texts structures. Further it analyzes the significance of myth on human mind, its influence on society and henceforth its ritual use. Next the work is about relation of myth and fairy tale, about their similarity and difference and about mythical thinking in our current society. The last chapter is key part of the work, to where leads previous text. It explores individuation process and influence of narrative on its successful completion. In this part the work examines total influence of narrative on human soul and possibility of narrative psychotherapy and analyzes narration from the view of the depth psychology. The symbol and the importance of animals in the Latin-American fable with regard to pre-hispanic tradition

The content of this Bachelor's thesis called The symbol and the importance of animals in the Latin-American fable with regard to pre-hispanic tradition is focused on the definition of the concept of fable as a literary genre, its form, function, scale and language by which it is characterized. It's further defined and compared with other genres it could be confused with and whose development it had an influence on. The probable origin and presence in ancient Greek and Roman literature is also mentioned. This part of the work is focused on the most important ancient authors like Aesop, Phaedrus and Babrios. The European tradition continues with fables of La Fontaine and as with the previous authors, the work evaluates his style and also focuses on the life story of the writer. As a rarity the mini fable by Karel Čapek is mentioned. The specifics of fables in the Latin-American region are described further. This thesis defines these as an individual literary genre and provides description of the formation of fable in this region. Modern Fable and Apocrypha of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl

This bachelor thesis concerns itself with modern notions of fable and apocrypha genres in the work of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl, namely in Fables and Under-Short-Stories (Bajky a podpovítky), The Book of Apocrypha, Near-Fables and Apocrypha. The work is founded on a comparative study of the genres and authors with the intention to add to the theoretical definition of the modern notion of genre. The work comprises a methodological chapter, setting apart individual elements of narrative, such as motif, topic, narrator and character, and the characteristics of genres, which helps identifying individual elements of the modern genre of fable and apocrypha. In the practical part, methodological points of departure are applied on the texts mentioned, which are compared here. In conclusion, individual elements of the modern genre notion of Karel Čapek and Viktor Fischl are identified. Here, Viktor Fischl is set into a historical perspectiv, as his work is connected to the discourse of the so-called Czechoslovak ?First Republic? and to the work of Karel Čapek.
